News: Welcome ‘Blue Gum' and 'Red Robin’ in collaboration with Scope
At Good Housing, it’s our mission to deliver 50 smart and healthy homes to transform close to 200 lives within the next three years. And in 2020, we took our first steps towards making this dream a concrete reality, with the unveiling of our first home in Mount Colah: Oak Tree.
Fast forward a whirlwind 10 months, another state-wide lockdown, and countless planning and prep hours later… and our team is thrilled to welcome two NEW additions to the Good Housing portfolio, fortuitously neighbouring our maiden venture within Sydney’s North.
Friends and (good) family members, we’re pleased to introduce Blue Gum and Red Robin: a bright and welcoming suite of purpose-built SDA villas located in the heart of Hornsby, NSW.
Scheduled for completion in 2022, Blue Gum and Red Robin are handsomely situated amid Sydney’s lush and leafy Northern Suburbs; a mere 19 kilometres from the CBD, and a short distance from an array of health services, amenities, and transportation options.
Designed to meet the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our tenants, Blue Gum and Red Robin were created with Robust, High Physical Support (HPS), and Fully Accessible (FA) participants front of mind, with scope for additional accessibility modifications to be made under each tenants’ respective funding protocol.
While Blue Gum will house 5 new purposefully built villas (designed under the Robust Category), Red Robin will feature two 2-bedroom independent villas (designed for HPS tenants) and an adjoining 2-resident shared villa (designed for Fully Accessible tenants).
In keeping with our good formula, each villa features a modern and striking architectural design, a spacious and functional kitchen area, and a private en-suite bathroom. Villas will also be powered by the latest in assistive technology, to ensure the independence and comfort of all tenants, regardless of their accessibility requirements and preferences.
And as we commence the (long anticipated!) construction kick off a little later this month, we’re thrilled to be partnering with industry leaders Scope, to ensure our prospective tenants receive specialised support and care across every step of their housing journeys.
One of Australia’s largest and most established disability support providers, the team at Scope are passionate about affording participants a greater choice and control in all facets of life and are dedicated to providing specialised support to empower all participants.
