We understand that transitioning to an SDA is a significant step. The friendly team at Good Housing is here to ensure a smooth and seamless process, guiding you through the following steps:

NDIS Eligibility: Your eligibility for SDA funding under the NDIS will determine your access to a Good Housing property. Our team can help you understand the requirements and navigate the process. Once we have received your notification of SDA funding and relevant documentation, we will discuss the details with your support team.

Support Team Meetings: We work closely with your support team to ensure that Pakenham is the right fit for you, discussing your personal requirements and preferences within the dwelling. We also collaborate with your Occupational Therapist (OT) to plan for any necessary modifications, such as rails or a supportive hoist system.

Site Visits & Assessments: A walk-through of the property with your support team allows us to determine any additional considerations needed during the construction process or post-construction completion. We provide regular updates, including photos and videos, so you can see your home take shape. Your OT will also conduct an assessment to confirm that all required supports and installations can be accommodated within the space.

If any additional adjustments are required post-construction, we coordinate their installation promptly so your home is fully equipped before you move in.

Construction Completion: Once construction is finalised and the home is deemed safe for access, we welcome you for a final walkthrough. This is an exciting opportunity for you to start envisioning your space and planning where your belongings will go. Any final touches or last-minute changes can be discussed during this stage.

Transition Period: Transitioning into a new home may take time. Good Housing will try to make it as smooth as possible, working with support teams to guide and assist you in settling in.

Ongoing Support & Feedback: Even after you have moved in, Good Housing remains actively involved. Our team regularly checks in to ensure your home continues to meet your needs, providing a safe and comfortable living environment. Whether you need maintenance, additional support, or adjustments to your home, we are always available to assist.
