Nestled comfortably in the beachfront region of Safety Beach, Victoria, our new property, Salt Bush, features two 1-bedroom villas and a neighbouring 2-resident house.
The epitome of independence, comfort, and accessibility, these smart and stunning new dwellings have been holistically designed to meet the physical, intellectual, and social needs of Robust participants.
At Good Housing, we prioritise tenant comfort, independence, and safety in all our homes. Salt Bush is designed with these principles in mind, featuring spacious, open floor plans, wide doorways and pathways, customisable kitchens and cabinetry, and external ramp access for full wheelchair accessibility.
The design is tailored to meet the needs of Robust participants, with options for further assistive technology modifications available under the tenant's funding to ensure a personalised living experience.
Spacious and thoughtfully designed, Salt Bush offers a range of features for comfortable living, including an open-plan layout, resilient construction and furniture, air conditioning or ducted heating, safety glass, reinforced walls, and soft impact vinyl flooring.
Adjoining OOA rooms are available for 24/7 support, with a curated colour palette and interiors enhancing the overall environment. The property also provides options for independent or shared living arrangements.
While each dwelling has been designed to support complete, independent living, tenants of both Salt Bush have the option to live independently (single occupancy) or alongside a like-minded housemate (shared occupancy), according to their preferences and funding eligibility.
All tenants have access to our nominated On-Site Support Provider, Aruma, with designated OOA rooms on-site for tailored care. Aruma is a trusted partner to approximately 5,000 people with disabilities throughout the east coast of Australia.
Their goal is to support people with disabilities to live a great life, the life they want, and the life they choose. The team will be on-site 24/7 to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all Salt Bush tenants.
Our tenant empowerment team is currently processing expressions of interest for both dwellings and invites prospective tenants and support coordinators to submit their online enquiries today.
Due to the limited number of independent and shared vacancies currently available, all participants will be assessed according to their eligibility and on a first-come, first-served basis.
To be eligible for residence, participants will need to have SDA Robust funding in their NDIS plan.
Evidence of SDA approval should include a written letter from the NDIA stating tenant eligibility for SDA funding, the total amount of funding eligible, the designated design category, and the SDA location approved for you or your tenant.
